On 18 March, Mr. Stefano DOMINIONI, Executive Secretary of the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes (EPA), met with Mr. Margaritis Schinas, Vice President of the European Commission, in Brussels.
This meeting was the occasion for Mr. Stefano DOMINIONI to present the work of the EPA, outlining the technicalities of the certification process and highlighting the synergies between the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe Programme and some EU programmes, such as the European Heritage Days and the European Heritage Label.
During the meeting, Mr SCHINAS highlighted the importance of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe Programme for the protection and promotion of European cultural heritage and suggested further exploring possibilities for enhanced cooperation between the European Commission and the Council of Europe in this respect. The development of a Cultural Route specifically dedicated to the history of European integration was also discussed during the meeting.
