The Founder & President of the European Historic Cafes Association (EHICA) Vassilis Stathakis visited Ekaterini Tzitzikosta, President of the Hellenic National Commission for UNESCO at her office in order to inform her on the latest EHICA actions and initiatives.
Specifically, Mr. Stathakis briefed Ms. Tzitzikosta on the initiative of EHICA to establish April 8th as World Day of Historic Cafes and invited her to be the keynote speaker at the relevant event at the Historic Café “Kipos”, on April 8th 2020.
Mr. Stathakis also informed Mrs. Tzitzikosta about the progress on the hosting the 10th International Advisory Forum “Cultural Routes” of the Council of Europe to be held in Chania 7-9 October 2020. Also, Mr. Stathakis informed the President of the Hellenic National Commission for UNESCO for this year’s 150th Anniversary of the Historic Café “Kipos” that will be celebrated in Chania.
Ms. Tzitzikosta said she was impressed with the progress of the Association and promised to help EHICA’s efforts.
